Purpose of Position: The Cybersecurity Governance & Quality Assurance role is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s cybersecurity framework, policies, and practices are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal business objectives. The position provides support in establishing governance structures, monitoring compliance, and providing independent quality assurance over cybersecurity processes, tools, and controls. This role serves as an advisor to management, driving continuous improvement, cyber risk reduction, and a culture of security accountability across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Monitor compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).

Conduct regular quality assurance assessments, audits, and control reviews of cybersecurity processes, technologies, and incident response activities.

Define and track cybersecurity key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs).

Support risk management by assessing, documenting, and reporting cybersecurity risks and control effectiveness.

Ensure alignment of cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives.

Facilitate internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and certifications.

Support in awareness and training initiatives focused on cybersecurity governance and compliance.

Collaborate with IT, security operations, risk, and business units to ensure continuous improvement in security posture.

Prepare and deliver high level reporting on cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, and assurance activities.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field (Master in the field is preferred).

Experience: Experienced cybersecurity professional with + 2 years in information security, risk management, and compliance, with strong knowledge of standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR, and a proven ability to conduct audits and engage effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.

Required Skills: Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance principles; Analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing risks and control effectiveness; Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations; Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; Detail-oriented with a structured and methodical approach to quality assurance; Ability to balance compliance requirements with business needs; High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
